Higher brand awareness

Your logo is the first thing people see when they come in contact with your brand. With an animated logo you are creating a more memorable image in your customer’s mind. A powerful animated logo connects with potential clients and draws their attention effectively. Animation increases the chance of a logo being memorised compared to a short glance at the static version.

Original representation

Many companies have similar logos and sometimes they are even competitors in the same market. Thanks to animated logos, you can stay in the mind of your potential and existing customers. Some motion and different visual effects will set your logo apart from others. There is no limit to creativity when designing an animated logo. Original graphics combined with different visual effects create a unique way to perceive the logo.

Better storytelling

Storytelling doesn’t mean you have to produce an animated fiction movie. The idea is to say more about your brand in the first few seconds customers see your logo. An animated logo can convey your brand’s core values and help your customers understand what you do. It contributes to your brand’s overall narrative. It also helps your brand connect on an emotional level with your customers.

Capture and retain attention

We are living in an era where attention is a scarcity, which is the reason why some experts call our economy, “an attention economy”. You should do all that you can to capture your customer's attention, and one of the best things you can do is come up with appealing logo animations. The first few seconds decide how people perceive your product and brand. If your logo is outstanding, they are likely to pay attention to what you have to say.

Evoke emotions

People like fresh and unusual ideas and an animated logo is a good way to surprise them. An effective logo animation can become a trigger for excitement, joy, and intrigue. If a logo can bring some positive emotions to the target audience, there are great chances that they will remember a brand and associate it with something pleasant.

Company professionalism

Your customers may not be trained marketing experts, but they still clearly understand what is trending in the field. A lot of famous companies including Google have already acquired animated versions of their logos and proudly share it with the whole world. That’s why when a brand shows that they keep up with the innovations, people see them as the real professional.

SEO benefits

Animation can also improve your site’s SEO, via shares, backlinking, and image tagging. In general, web pages that feature videos (or any kind of motion graphics) are more likely to attract users for longer periods of time. Google’s algorithm loves dynamic content that lives on your website or that’s embedded from theirs (e.g. YouTube) so consider animation in your quest to optimise your ranking on the web.

Where to use it

There is more than one way of leveraging the power of animated logos. Social media with video content get better engagement. You can use the animated logo on your company’s website or presentations for retaining your visitors’ attention and leave a positive impression on them. Naturally, you can use animated logos in other videos as intro or outro or even consider an email signature (you will position yourself as a modern brand.)
